I got a sony VGP-BPS5 battery as a Christmas gift.but The laptop power supply broke, and I bought a new generic brand ps while waiting for the warranty replacement to arrive.The battery will not charge using the generic power supply.Why is that, and can I bypass it?( I threw away the old power supply before the new one arrived, but didn't realize that I needed to keep one of the cords. So I still can't charge the battery.
I hope i can resolve the problem as soon as possible . If you have a good advice ,please tell me . thanks !
